if you see that yellow truck, that's where the city of san francisco is trying to fix the signal box that she allegedly slammed into and turned off all the lights at the intersection. that driver has been arrested for suspicion of driving underneath the influence. chp tells us this would not be the first time for serena borrows. that's her name. she's a 23-year-old woman who's been arrested for dui at least three times before. this was one of her victims this morning. a bicyclist being put in an ambulance. chp was pursuing her and she hit a car that rolled into the bicyclist. he was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and has since been released. this chase began around 2:00 this morning as borrows tried to get onto the fourth street on-ramp to the bay bridge which was closed at the time. chp tried to pull her over. she led them on a chase that took them on 101, then local streets. one officer telling us that the speeds never exceeded 55 miles an hour. she faces charges of felony hit and run, felony dui and an enhancement because she has been charged with dui three times before.

as americans commemorate veterans day, some bay area veterans getting a boost in san francisco. a new housing complex opens today in the city's south of market district aimed at helping homeless veterans get back on their feet. christie smith joins us with more. good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you, laura. you know, this is going to make a huge difference this the lives of homeless veterans with disabilities, help them get off the street. her going to get a studio apartment inside of this refurbished building here, but also they're going to get some perks. things like yoga classes inside at a place called veterans commons. this is a permanent supportive housing unit for 75 homeless veterans who also have disabilities. it's a project with swords to plow shares and the chinatown community development group. there are even outside decks built on. yoga classes, cooking classes. this is so important because it is cold out now and many shelters don't open until december. 12% of those served in winter shelters are veterans so projects like this are key. >> realize that they'r
